HOUT BAY
The Surf Lodge is based in the heart of the coasy fishing village of Hout Bay, known for the legendary big wave spot ‘Dungeons’. In 2007 “Dungeons” won the ‘Biggest Wave Ridden’ category of 66ft for the Billabong XXL Competition.  Hout Bay is also the hometown to WCT campaigner Royden Bryson and 1970 ‘Gunston 500’ runner-up Jonathan Paarmen.
Hout Bay boasts some of the most amazing landscapes in the world, surrounded by the ocean and land locked by the most beautiful mountains.
With plenty of activities on offer, be sure to visit fish markets in the harbour, Mariners Wharf, World of Birds, Seal Island, Chapman’s Peak and over
30 restaurants to choose from and much more! Close to the lodge are the famous pearly white beaches of Llandudno and the nudist beach of Sandy Bay, boasting the best sunsets you’ll ever see and great surf to be had.
 

 

The Lodge has an amazing homely feel with a touch of Africa and Bali vibe!
It’s surrounded by palm and banana trees with a beautiful majestic
garden and amazing views.
On any given day you might be greeted by wild squirrels and ginny foul
that play in the garden alongside our koi pond and swimming pool.
The Lodge is walking distance to the main shopping center and beach.
It accommodates up to 14 people at any given time, with our
popular ‘wave bunkroom’ and 2 double private beach rooms.
All rooms overlook the palm trees, swimming pool and fish pond
Directly above the rooms is the bar and entertainment area with foosball,
pool table, darts, satellite TV and barbeque (braai) facilities.

  The ‘Waves’ Bunk Room is ideal for travelers, surfers, groups and for the surf package clientele. The Bunk Room is beautifully decorated in an African and surf decor with amazing wave pictures from all over the world! It has a large walk-in closet and picturesque bathroom with shower and bubble bath under a glass sky line. It lies next to and beneath the palm trees, swimming pool, koi fishpond, barbeque and bar area.
The bunkroom sleeps up to 8 people and is perfect for all clientele. Almost to good to be a bunkroom!!!
 
   
  This room is ideal for couples or clientele who would like some privacy. Decorated in a sea environment with 2 single beds straight in front of our swimming pool and koi pond. This room shares the main bathroom with the bunkroom which has a shower and large skyline bubble bath. Enjoy your own privacy with your own private satellite TV and private entrance.
 
   
 
  This room is our most popular room, able to accommodate 2 people. With its own private balcony, bathroom and small lounge with satellite TV.
The ‘Cloud-9” Room is a large spacious room, perfect for all with a touch of the ocean. The balcony overlooks the koi pond and is next door to our majestic garden. Relax and enjoy our best!
 
   
  The bar and barbeque area is ideal for all.  Most popular at night time, perfect after surf trips or tours. Unwind, have fun and share your stories with all of what great waves and adventures that were had!! This beautiful wooden decorated bamboo bar is great for entertainment.
The ‘Bali Bar Room’ has it all, with foosball, pool table. Satellite TV and darts. In the mornings wake up to a light breakfast in the “Bali Bar Room”
A great way to start your day by overlooking the amazing views of Hout Bay and the majestic garden and pool area of the “Surf Lodge.”
